So whilst the rest of the Peaky Climbers were out cycling, I had signed up for a 10K run.

I decided to start running to give my body so variety as to training and to improve various muscles. As it happened I found out that running helped my hill training.

I had run a few 10K runs before but never managed to get below 1hour 5 minutes.

On Sunday I did the run in 1hour 8 seconds!

A great achievement for me and hopefully it won’t be long before I’m sailing under the hour.

Unfortunately I did get overtaken by 2 guys dressed as a camel, so hopefully next year I’ll try and beat the camel!
