PEAKY CLIMBERS TRAINING CAMP, MALLORCA

TIME TO GO HOME 🙁

Peaky Climbers Team Training Camp, Mallorca

10th April 2017

After an exhilarating and incredibly challenging weekend of cycling, each of the lads spent some time reflecting on what proved to be a life changing training camp.

The talk over breakfast was all about key lessons learned, individual, personal and team aspects that need improving and ultimately a clearer understanding of just how massive this challenge will be.

The team bonding was a success! The odd cross word between Hunge & Bracket but other than that…everything was perfect.

A massive thank you to Simon Haly for his huge efforts and meticulous planning. This was a tremendous trip and everything went without a hitch…cunning planning!

Ultimately this weekend was very, very, very special indeed.

  • The physical side was demanding;
  • The mental side challenging;
  • The diet, drink and food requirements are a must to get right;

But most importantly as a group, as a team, we now know that together we CAN achieve this.

On the drive back to the airport it was incredible to see the impressive Puig Major en route and know that we climbed it…we conquered it. The tallest peak on the island and the Peaky Climbers tamed it.

HUGE POSITIVES are to be taken away by every one of the team.

Some individual sole searching, meticulous planning and detailed preparation is ahead for all of us over the next 6 months.

The clock is ticking…

…it’s more than just a bike ride…it is a way of life.

Next week…Recovery Week…
